Thanks, can't wait to get it.
I've asked Lotus to paint protection film the whole front and rear arches as it's currently free of chips.
Also considering buying some adhesive sheets of neoprene to stick in the inside of the wheel arches to lessen the chances of stones putting stars in the fibreglass

Very nice, great colour (but I am biased). Which number is it?
Thank you, it was originally black with the yellow stripes but the first owner had it painted Ardent red to match his other Lotus'Good question, I can't remember which number but have a funny feeling it's in the 50's

Congratulations to you both. I admired the red Silverstone one last year. I was amazed it took so long to sell, since it looked immaculate to me. I believe the owner had an orange Evora S manual 2+0, which Lotus Silverstone also sold for him.
I spotted the orange one in the classifieds too. Looks stunning.
I think a lot of people were put off by the re-paint but I managed to track down all of the other owners and happy that it wasn't as a result of accident damage but purely to match his other cars. I spotted the orange one in the classifieds too. Looks stunning.
Unfortunately I dithered and didn't buy the orange one but happy with the price I paid for the red car and it helps that it's only 12 miles from where I live.
I'm looking at solutions to stop stones from cracking the wheel arches as mine are currently perfect following a re-paint.
Has anyone stuck stuff like this on the underside of the arches?

Not sure why I keep seeing double?
Not tried that but I have tried 3m body gard flat spray on stone chip protector. It is a spray on aerosol which is a rubberised finish, easy to put on. You will need one can for each front arch. The jury is still out on how well it works at present because I have not used the car much since applying it.
Product no. 08158.

It is probably the cheapest upgrade you will do!
Sorry I do not know how to post the link, but £11 at spray guns direct.
Just do a Google search on it.
Don't forget to book it in for the oil line recall if not already done. Mine is booked with bell and colvill in a couple of weeks , free of charge! Thank goodness for that.
Thumbs up for lotus
Thanks, yes I found that link and bought 2 cans. Thankfully it's already had the oil line upgrade a couple of weeks ago.Sorry I do not know how to post the link, but £11 at spray guns direct.

Bought a new helmet, blue iridium visor, balaclava, boots and gloves earlier today in readiness.
Thanks, I'm not around on Saturday or I'd have come and said hello.
Just jacked the car up and found that someone has already rubberised the wheel arches, so glad I bought a new jack and 2 cans of that stuff now. Still I sprayed a few extra coats for added protection.
Someone has also added a wheel arch liner to the nearside rear arch, must have bastardised an Elise/Exige liner.
