My previous projects proved mildly difficult to find, (Hunter GLS five years, Audi 200 5T four years) so I'm looking for something a little more challenging for my next one. smile
Doomed from the start, ugly but also underrated and quite capable.
And the sound of the triple carbed V6 cloud9
The hunt begins for a RHD Talbot Tagora SX.....sonar

There was this one on Ebay last month:

Could see if the buyer really wants it?

eta Oops, it was a year ago. Probably scrapped by now wink

I sent a mechanic to inspect this last year and it was in far worse condition than I had hoped. It needed a new roof which was a deal breaker for me as I had just done this on another car and did not fancy doing (or paying for!) it again.

Thankfully, someone with far more mechanical talent than me bought it and it is being restored.

Ten Tagoras for sale on this French website, with 3 SX's. Not sure if it's the 2.6 a they don't quote engine size.

Any good?
It has to be RHD for me I'm afraid. Anyway, that would be too easy!

I have someone looking into the Maltese connection, hopefully something will turn up.

I saw that several years ago when it was posted on 28DL. Lots of things went missing shortly after IIRC. The place was abandoned so chances of finding an owner are slim.

Any details? smile
It's a 1983 SX which has done 60k and is a little bit rusty...

And if the chap who mentioned having some parts earlier in this thread would be interested in selling please get in touch!

Sadly the OPs car appears to be no longer registered with the DVLA, I wonder what happened to it/him after such a long hunt.
The OP's car is alive and well, the restoration is almost complete.
