What car strikes a chord in your heart as epitomising the 80's

Porsche 928 in JRG with pinstripe velour seats.
That would have been a 1970's car wink

But yes, you saw plenty of 928's in the 80's too and that one also sprang to mind for me.

Sierra Sapphire, wasn't that more of a 90's car?

These are 70's I know but as you say, they were popular all through the 80's too.

First car I think that ever made a big advertising play about drag coefficiency, it had it's CD of 0.32 stencilled in the rear side windows.

One of the first mainstream family saloons to be galvanised too.

Great cars; I'd still like one today but I'd take an Avant version please smile

Lots of brilliant posts here, some long forgotten (by me at least).

The Rover SD1 is a lovely car to me but back in the day when I walked past them on my route back home from school I always looked at them and thought "middle manager and father of 2.4 kiddies"

How times change, I'd love one now smile
