Minilite wheels love -in.
Discussion
Not surprisingly, these show up quite often in pictures posted in this section. nta16 I'm looking at your GT6 in BV's thread. How do they manage to look good, seemingly, on anything made before about 1980?
Hillman Imps and Hunters, Triumphs, Volvos, Fords, BMW 2002s. They just look so right. Please post your pics of minilites looking good on older cars here.
Or if you disagree jump in with both boots.

i Greg,
all the minilite wheels I've had on my classics and many you normally see are not originals but copies
I'm with you I think minlite and their copies generally look good on classics but I still much prefer the look of steel wheels with chrome hub caps
Hi Nigel, fair enough if they were replicas, to me that doesn't detract from the great looks.all the minilite wheels I've had on my classics and many you normally see are not originals but copies

I must agree that some cars look just right with nice shiny hubcaps. Even the latest Beetle displays the welcome return of them in a very knowing "retro" way.

You do know that Minilites and replicas, e.g. Minator are made by the same company:

Me? No I hadn't heard of Minators. As it says at the bottom of the first link;http://www.minilite.co.uk/index.htm

Probably the most imitated of all wheel designs, but there is only one ‘Genuine Minilite’
I just think it's a classic simple design which I suppose is why it looks so good on so many models.

Mine back in the day Cracking little cars, yet another I wish I still had ! The Tyres I had on in this pic were Pirelli P 7's [ I think ] VERY good grip but I only got 2500ms out of them
It's good to know it's passing among caring keepers. Interesting the silver notes then are now picked out in black. Not sure which I prefer.Back in the 80s a mate of mine had P7s on an Strada 130TC and he had the fronts down to the cord in about the same mileage.
