Not sure if this has been posted here but sadly the Stondon Motor Museum (south Beds) is closing it's doors next week. 400 vehicles to be auctioned with no reserve.

It sounds a bit of a billy bullstter 'my mate's uncle's stepdad's' story but the guy I used to work with in my apprenticeship was for some time with the museum owner's daughter. I believe the owner made his money years ago selling small aluminium greenhouses and various other dealings. From what I've heard he was always into cars and then it all expanded from there. He died last year I believe, my mum is a carer and cared for him when he came into the hospice for end of life care. Small world!
Not sure how Mr Saunders started in business but you'll see Saunders recovery trucks on standby at just about every motorway works in the south. The late Mr Saunders' pride was a huge collection of steam tractors and trucks - his family continue to display these at shows and fairs for all to enjoy.
