Classic tyres needed
Discussion
Looking at the width of that wheels your absolutely right but 235 50 profile in 13in diameter must be fairly specialist I would think and pretty hard to get hold off. In the days of 13in wheels being common 70 aspect was considered low profile, were they competition tyres by any chance. Taking another look at that picture those tyres certainly dont look to be particularly low profile and dont know what the d after the 50 means, have you asked any tyre specialists about them.

Not quite what you want, but it'll mean you can use the wheels.
Kumho do V70 track tyres in 235-45-13 and 215-50-13, and Toyo do R888s in 225-45-13.
They'll all fit well on the 8" rim.

Look on the Avon Motorsport website. If you want radials, they do CR500s in similar sizes to what you want, or if you want crossplies, have a look at ACB10.
