Have lusted after one of these since I was a kid and dad brought the brochures home. Sadly cos we were so brassic that was as close as I got.

Fast forward 40 years and I pursue one into a McDonald's and scare the owner accousting him to see his wheels.

Turns out car only has 19k on the clock. Full cloth velour trim. Rear seats never used.

I can die a happy man now.

I didn't buy it - absolutely nowhere to store anything where I now live. Bloke was going to sell it to another guy but pulled out of it when it transpired buyer was going to turn it into a track car!!!

As for value, I did wonder what it was worth. It was in the blue they did so very desirable.

Lovely car. It's making me smile now.

Sorry but I had to stick in a pic of my 2.3 GLS

I remember the Mark II coming out in 77/78. We had a 2.3GL in that colour, DUD2V. Was that Solar gold?

They were pretty highly regarded and generally comparable to a 528i or Merc 280 of the time - not something you could say about the Scorpio.
Gold!! What interior cloth ?

Dark brown leather actually, all a bit odd as it was leather interior with central locking but wind up windows. Only a radio when I got it as well no tape deck.
Leather!! Love it

I see this around Agar Grove in Camden. Looks in decent original nick and according to the MOT database, it's on 20k miles (although not without faults....)
