Who's got em then?
I plan on getting one a week on Saturday in Reading. Almost looking forward to it, I'm intrigued as to how much its going to hurt, especially since I'm getting a 'seam' put in, in a straight line from my waistband to my armpit.
Can't think of many other generic designs that I hopefully wont regret in a couple of years (you know, like when you thought MC Hammer was cool but now is just a big joke...)
Also heard from a colleague that you can't get the area wet for a week or so!? Any truth to this as I'm getting it 4 days before my 19th birthday and would be upset if I can't shower!

Well I'm getting one because a mate is and I said I would join him. Don't need to be concerned about the girlies (insert your own gay joke here), as long as the missus doesn't mind, I'm golden.
You sound like a bit of a saddo to me mate. Are you really so unconfident and weak-minded that you have to do this just to earn the supposed respect of a mate? Get a mind of your own for God's sake.I know a girl who had a tiger tattooed onto her lower back a few years ago. It looked pretty crap to me, if I want to see a picture of a tiger I'll go to an Esso garage. Anyway, when she got pregnant with twins it stretched sideways and turned into something which looked more like a zebra on acid. After the birth it went saggy and now looks like a wrinkled old man wearing cat's ears. She regrets it bitterly and is mocked unmercifully.
People who have tattoos are by and large a disappointing bunch of losers, failures and sociopaths who have neither the intelligence nor accuity to see that the rest of society isn't going to be impressed. So if you ask me, I reckon you'll look like a c*nt.
And I don't really plan on getting pregnant anytime soon. Let's keep the nastie's to ourself shall we?
Not really fair to generalise all tattoo bearers as 'losers'

Good question... I don't know. Always been fascinated by them. Always wanted one, to have something that is a lasting statement of my youth (that seems to be ever slipping away these days). So I can look back on it and laugh. (To be honest, never regretted anything in my life, but I guess there is a first time for everything)

Sooner or later most people wish they hadn't got them done.
Fortunately I found a way to remove them.
I removed the bit I didn’t like with a hot soldering iron. Just go a little deeper than the pigment bellow the skin, you don’t need to do the muscle below.
It doesn’t scar if you do it right, but the skin pigment is a little lighter than the surrounding area.
You don’t need anaesthesia; I did a hypnosis module back when I was a Psychology undergrad and blocked the pain myself.
You scare me.Fortunately I found a way to remove them.
