I am being threatned - help / advice sought

I am being called on my mobile by one of my old mates who keeps telling me he wants me to come and meet him. It started last night at 11pm when he said he wanted to meet right then. I said I couldnt as i was busy and asked him what the matter was - he said I been talking s
te about him. As far as i can remember this is not true and it seems some people have stirred things up. I told him to talk to me on the phone but he started calling me a pussy etc and said i had to meet him in person to which i said no. He then said he knew where i was and will soon get me. Now im a 35 year old man, a director of 2 ltd companies and have 3 kids and am not a whus! I am sensible and am not interested in having a police record by going to meet him and then getting in to a rutt.
Can anyone advise what to do? Can i get some sort of court order on him so that he backs off?

We were mates a few years back not seen him for a while. The thing that worries me is that he's a heavy drug user so would quite often not be in his senses. He's not called back as yet but he did say he'll wait for me to tell him where i want to meet him today. I have told him i wont.

What I am scared of is myself - I will not be able to control myself if I decide to meet him and he takes the first swing....hell will break loose then!
Thats why I am staying away.
As for saying things about him - Its been 3 years since I last seen the guy and we were pub mates so never the best of mates anyway.

Told him I wasn't scared of him but more of myself kicking the ste out of him if things got out of hand...that made him sort of push back a little - his tone changed! He then started to talk to me on the phone and put forward his allegations - which were all complete and utter bull dating back 5 odd years!
I told him that I cant remember saying anything like that to anyone and that.
He ended with - well it better be bullste mate as if I find out its true I'll come for you....I told him he could try to do that anytime he fancies and put the phone down...
Hopefully thats the end of it!?

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the directorships after all but the reason i mentioned that + the kids + the married man bit was just to let you guys know that I have a lot at stake and can't afford to go fighting behind a bike shed!
This guys a friggin druggie who lives on a council estate and used to play darts with me at the local pub back in the day...
As for the Tax implications lets just say that my accountants a good lad

That was the end of it there is no update...he's not called back...
He may have run out of drugs and won't be calling again until he's on a "high"
