Hi Peeps,

Bought my old customised Harley to France with me, rather than have it sit for more years in a shed in damp England.

I am here for most of the year, so have time to give it some tlc and get it back on the road for summer. Problem is, in France motorbikes aren't MOTed so I cant get an MOT over here, and also it is UK registered and insured.

So, do I-

1 try to get insurance in France for a uk registered bike without an MOT,
2 reregister it here (if that's possible for a Q plate, but it is likely I will want to use it back in the uk.) or
3 find an insurer in the UK that will take it on without an MOT on French roads for a summer?!

Or, just polish it up and watch it shine and wait for next trip back to uk with the van:-(

Ta chaps,

Steve

Thanks for the help chaps. Will check out that forum, see if I can get on the road sooner rather than later. It's been smashing weather here in south France today, want to get her polished and used ASAP!

I'm pretty screwed it looks like.

Cant (or rather it is very difficult to) register a Q plate in France, so I have to return it to UK for its mot.

Oh for the days of dodgy MOTs....!

Only other option is to ring it.... Not good options.
