Hi all. Ive just moved from the uk to köln but ive had to leave all my minis and jap cars back home.

After having the hassle of getting an eco sticker for my seat ibiza which only just got a yellow sticker, ive looked into getting one of my other cars over but with german regulations im not sure if its possible.

Also hoping to meet up with some fellow petrolheads in the area as I need to get my fix of working on cars.

Gaz

Alright mate, yep you're not far away then. I work in Hürth but use the tram everyday.

I've got the seat ibiza insured through a uk company so its fully legal in Europe but it wasn't cheap. I was told by the officials in cologne that I would have to register the car as a German one after 6 months, but I think i will take it home and sell it before then, and take my crx or one of my classic minis back.

From what i can gather if the car is over 1993 and petrol I can get a green eco sticker and use it in and around cologne which means i can only take over my 1993 mini, however its highly modified with different wheels, brakes, ignition system, carb and a few other bits.

My plan long-term is to get something suitable for blasting around the ring on a weekend or after work so I will probably end up buying something new and German.
