Two weeks ago I had a very pleasant weekend riding in the Schwarzwald region with a mate. Today I get the bad news on the doorstep, 92km/h in a 50 zone. It's a fair cop so I'll fill in the sheet and return it, and I believe the likely fine is EUR 160. I'm on a UK licence so I hope I'm safe from the ban, anyone have any idea?

it was 92 after the tolerance. I'm living in Germany, so I can't escape easily. But you think they will take my UK licence for a month? What do they do with it, just physically confiscate it to stop me driving, then send it back a month later?

Oh well, no big deal as I cycle to work most days anyway. It was a fair cop after all, normally I'm pretty sensible in the 50 zones - it's a bit embarassing and stupid really, doing (indicated) over 100 in a 50.
