I have just taken the leap back into Saab ownership after 3years away. Picking up a 2006 2.8 9-3 convertible next weekend. Drives wonderful and I'm very pleased indeed.

Thing is, it has a Hirsch Performance badge on the back. I asked about it when enquiring initially and the dealer said they had investigated and the workshop couldn't find anything not normal. He said someone just just bought a sticker.

When I checked through the service records I find an invoice which made reference to needing a special turbo valve as the vehicle had the 'Hirsch Pack'

So, anyone able to shed some light on it?

I shall do just that! Is it likely to have been done as an aftermarket thing or from new? When I bought my previous one from new I seem to recall being offered some Hirsch stuff at the time by the dealer.

This new one does feel jolly quick even though it's to 2.8. 😀

There is no Hirsch certificate with the papers I have so far seen so who knows.

Fingers crossed though.

And what did they do for you, if you don't mind me asking?

Did you email Hirsch in Switzerland?

I sent an email to Hirsch Switzerland and they came back almost immediately with a copy of the certificate to say its been remapped to 276bhp.

Very cool.
