How often does the fuel filter get changed?

My 9-5 2.3 Turbo edition has now covered 17k. It was last serviced in July 14. I've bought 5w 30 Dexos oil as well as oil, and air filter. Does the fuel filter need changing at this mileage (car is 2009) and is changing it straightforward?
