Am looking to run an s3 exige as a daily drive. Not sure if it will be the coupe or soft top yet. Has anyone done this and how do the cars stand up to daily use? Anything I need to know? Cheers.

Thanks for the posts. I have several other German and Italian toys so this wouldn't be the "weekend car" it would be the car I do my daily mileage in. My concerns are more around build quality and reliability. I can put up with something that can be a pain in traffic as long as it doesn't spend more time at the dealer than with me.

Having had my Exige V6 now for just over 1 year and approx. 5000 miles I've been using it as a daily driver and it been fine. The only time spent at the garage has been for its first service.
I'd say aircon is a must have as it will clear the screen in the winter very quickly. I'd recommend you go and have an extended test drive or an over night borrow of one during the week to test it in traffic etc.
Docile went you want it to be(so much torque)and instant responsive controls and chassis feedback for when you want some fun.

Thanks that's good to know. I will probably do circa 10k miles each year in it in a mixture of motorway and a and b roads. Good idea re the extended test drive, will see how agreeable my local dealer is to the idea.
