Plenty of time for people to clear their calendars and make sure they are available.
Plan is to meet up at 07:30 and then leave Bournemouth at approx 08:00, meet at 07:00, leave at 07:30. Make our way to Torbay, to meet up with DST, have Breakfast/Lunch, then make our way home.

Route is still TBD, suggestions welcome

Is this the best we can do ? BoLOCs runs used to have high teens/low 20s participation.
If anyone has contacts for some of the old crew that no longer use PH, could they give them a nudge
Gooby, you used to be chief social secretary, got any contacts ?

Hello Chaps

I came on a few of the runs right at the start of the bolocs, the North Weald activity days and some trackdays, good times smile

Anyway i am up for this but dont have the Elise anymore or any Lotus is that a problem?

Cheers
Jake
No problem. Plan realistically is to just get as many BoLOCs together in one place smile

Does anyone have a copy of the old excel file we created, listing all the BoLOCs emails and phone numbers ?
Was hoping someone might have a copy and I can do a 1 off direct mail out to everyone, in the hope of getting people that have moved away from Lotus and have stopped reading PH/SELOC

Thanks

Someone kindly sent me a copy, so plan to send out a short email to about 50 people and hope they dont get annoyed by the invite. Hopefully we can get a few more to sign up.

Anyone fancy meetin up weekend after next 21st/22nd, to try and work out route ?
Thinking Breakfast somewhere with Wi-Fi. Could always use the Cafe we used to use on the Breakfast runs, near Boscombe Pier.

Any Volunteers ?

Not that many 4 or 5, I think. 2 replied direct on here, 1 on SELOC I think and 1 or 2 replied to the email back to me.
Got loads of delivery failures, some were coming through 3 days after I sent it.

OK, Sunday 22nd March.... 09:30 ?? Reef Encounter Cafe(the one just up from Boscombe Pier)

I dont have a laptop I can bring, so any volunteers for that, or we will have to try and plan on a 7" Tablet.

Ok Sunday it is then, will there just be 3 of us?
I'll bring me Macbook.
Looks like 3 or 4, if Gooby manages to get pass. 5 if you include Gooby Jnr. smile

I took a quick punt at a possible rout http://goo.gl/maps/RtyoP
110miles, 3.5hrs. Was hoping to avoid Exeter, but the ferry from Exmouth to Dawlish is foot passengers only.

we can discuss more Sunday, but give some thought to this prior, if you can.

So the Sunday Breakfast resulted in 5mins of discussing the route and 2hrs of catching up with each other. The outcome of which, is that we are all a lot older than we were, Fathers to kids we love loads and constantly drive us nuts.

So the only other suggested route was to go via Dorchester, then up to Crewekerne, Chard, Honiton, then A35 to Exeter, then sticking to the originally proposed route again. Having looked at this option, it means we end up on primary A roads for a lot more of the route. Two downsides as I see it (1) More Caravan traffic, (2) Not exactly the sort of roads the cars were intended for.
So unless anyone comes up with a very strong reason to go with this option, the plan is to stick with the originally planned route

http://goo.gl/maps/x653q.

One thing everyone did agree on, was that we need to leave earlier. So the plan is to meet at 07:00 and leave by 07:30

Will update the original post on this, so that all entries tally.
Any questions, give me a shout.

I rarely drive at warp speed, I leave that to Gooby. I am sure a few other will be trying to keep up with him, Grinnders springs to mind.

Not really sure of any obvious regrouping points along the route, but if anyone does know of any, put them up, on here and we can pick the best.

Any thoughts on stop points along the way? How about the following:

Wool Train Station - Station Rd?, Wool, Wareham, Dorset BH20 6DT (about 22 miles from the start)

Long Stay Car Park - Lyme Regis Charmouth Rd, Lyme Regis, Dorset DT7 3DW (about 60 miles from the start)

St. Bridget Garden Centre - Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon EX5 1AE (about 83 miles from the start)
As no one else has come up with alternatives and these seem logical, lets go with them

On a slightly related note, make sure you have a copy of the route and mark the stop points.

Updated route, that now takes into account that we meet up with DST at the Asda Car Park in Torquay
http://goo.gl/maps/pdGaM

Have also updated the the very first post on this thread to reflect the change to the end of the route.

Smudgers, no idea what time we will get to these checkpoints. We leave Bmth at 07:30, so it will depend on traffic and how manic Gooby & Grinnders decide to lead smile

Good to see everyone is ready.
Ginnders has flu, the real so, so may be a no-show, will depend on how he feels in he morning

See you all at 07:00

DST I'm guessing about 10:00'ish a ASDA car park. Wobble will cognac you if we are going to be much earlier/later than that

Dear god, my typing is getting worse. "Wobble will cognac" smile
