Bought an Exige S today with a view to doing a whole load of UK and European track days next year. I'm looking for like minded Lotus owners. Where's best to find them? smile

Thanks for the info gents smile

That sounds great Crouchydc. Typically Ive picked completely the wrong time of year to get involved if there is no meet in December but Ill be there in January. The car has been bought for track work but Im more than up for the more social events too.

Ill look at NYLOC and Lotus on Track. My plan was to go for the Platinum package with BAT but Ill see what Lotus on Track have to offer. It would be more fun to play with Lotus owners rather than the usual generic track day mix of cars.

Im trying to have the car prep finished by late December so I can get to Outlon Park on the 19th. We are playing with the brakes (pads and fluid), suspension, geometry, wheels, tyres and harnesses. smile

I'm using Mick Gardner Racing in Barnsley. They are a key Ohlins centre and designed the Ohlins for, and are suppliers to, Koenigsegg, McLaren, Ginetta, Ariel and Lotus, amongst others.

They have a real depth of knowledge and experience when it comes to Lotus's. smile

He has also started buying the ex development cars, I bought my car from them.

Who, Russ (MGR) or Cornering Force? The last time I had a car set up at Mick Gardner they had a BTCC technician (car designer rather than generic spanner monkey) there doing some of the work in conjunction with Russ (MGRs owner). They know their beans smile

Ive done a few track days in my time including Donnington just after a snow blizzard so in lots of slush in a 550bhp 500lb/ft 6.3litre V8 engined RWD race car. That was....interesting eek
