Hi guys

Being a little undeccesive, just literally recently sold a 208bhp caterham slr and fancied something a little more useable!!
Have just literally seen a lovey 2010 red exige 240 come up for sale very tempted with. Recently drove a S2 240 and really liked it before sold caterham but a dull colour. I was wandering of people's opinions if the RGB cars are worth the extra money and will be much more desirable in the future ? I have yet to drive any but sure they be equally amazing. Seen there's one at Silverstone (white 2010) and lotus Southampton. (Yellow)

Thanks for any input

Thanks for the reply gas head smile yeah it was the will blackham car i thought was nice. I spoke to few people this morning and as you suggested the others cars I was interested in aren't for me for your reasons!
I'm having a quick think and should see the red car, prob being once seen I know what will happen but as you say can't see it hanging about. I have another lead on another RGB car hopefully someone get back in touch end of day. As you pointed out not sure it will be worth the premium.
Cheers for your advice

Ha ha good point ref the 0% finance thing smile. I don't generally do finance on cars but can't really see it loosing much money as such so prob not such a bad thing! Least il know it's history. Certainly was throw the cat amongst the pigeons that one smile

Don't suppose anyone knows about the cup260 empire car. Just rang dealer / sounds good but owner lost log book so it shows the dealer as owner ! That's the story anyhow 1owner. Perhaps a phone call to service garage give me afew answers.

Been a funny day doing the research and tracking these cars. What's the cup 260s like???

There used to be a red Exige with white stripes at Leeds JCT600, the driver's side sill panel was ruined from someone sliding in and out with studded jeans. Look out for that.

I wouldn't bother with an RGB unless you have a very strong emotion towards it. I'd go for a 240 as you get the brakes, uprated fuel pump etc so it is much easier to modify then a 220. 260s aren't as common but there's nothing bad with playing with a 240 up to 260 spec smile
I test drove that red car in Leeds about this time last year before I bought the S2 I have now. It was very poorly presented, had no paperwork/receipts for any of it's service history and they were asking almost £35k for it. I watched it gradually fall in price over time, I wonder who bought it?
I think the car above I saw last night all stacks up to all your above comments, my first impression literally was it could have been presented a million times better. I couldn't believe it was trying to be retailed as it was! Never mind, search continues, think just going to aim for a S240 as cheaper as you all said.
Thanks for everyone's inputs...

Hi guys
I'm still looking for a nice low mileage S2 240/260 if anyone knows of anything about. Just had a deal fall through on a lovely Sprint exige.
Seen a lovely exige club racer S3 for sale but wandered if there worth the extra £££s or not or if the values hold! Tried a stunning Exige 350sport the other day at Williams lotus and it was an incredible car. Kinda getting the bug for a lotus considering I started out wanting a Cayman R!!

Wished I bought the grey rgb car which recently came up on this site but at the time daft as it sounds thought be too good for my use. What a Rodney smilesmile

Have a good weekend folks
