After 4.5years of ownership & many, many miles & smiles I made the hard choice to sell the Liz as it just wasn't getting the use it deserved of late.

I couldn't have asked for a better sale. I advertised it last sunday, got a call that afternoon & she was collected today & is off to Belgium to a really ncie chap who runs a company specialising in conversions of Lotus to LHD. The car will actually be for him not a customer & will be converted.

Obviously I'll keep an eye on the forums now & again, but a big thanks to all the folks that have made my ownership an even more satifying time. all the BOLOC's, Chris@westover, Paul @ Lotus on track, motorsport vision & twinpipe for inventing twinpipping smile

At least I've got a big empty garage now so it's time to have a cabinent reshuffle of my current fleet & get some new toys... watch this space smile

cheers all.

Oh well cheeky... I suppose she wasnt being used.....

Speedy - that is so fookin ugly, I love it.
Cheers Gooby, yeah no point it being sat there, I just don't seem to have any spare time these days to just go for those silly 100mile detours to get milk.

I've got some plans up my sleeve, something nice & new for everyday practical driving & a bucket of rust & bits for the garage to work on over time...

oh yeah... & everyone in bournemouth is suddenly buying black S2's... so damn common i gotta change, these pesky copy cats smile

Pah! last night he was talking about the trade in.
You lot are all quitters. I have a sneeky idea that it will be philygumbo. He will be 110 years old and still going to the shops at 110 mph and 3g's
Hah hah, you're right about Philygumbo, but Just1 & trade in... does that mean an Evora????

great to spark up with some old friends after all this time... hard to keep up with this forum as it doesn't let you know when people post replies... everything seems to have moved to facebook these days - perhaps BOLOCS should have a group on there?

She is indeed a beautiful car. a 1961 Elite. (Just1 - i was going to get an elan then this came up - they are like rocking horse p** so had to take the leap as I doubt I'll ever see another to restore again...) it's arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever.

Just got confirmation going back on the old reg plate having been off the radar since the mid 70's. It's got some little ford race engine in it at the mo but the box of bits is the matching number original 1261cc coventry climax.

There's a good couple of years work ahead of me with all the other stuff I fill my time with, but rest assured once she's done I'll be out on a burger run & doing some twinpipping.

glad to hear most of you guys still have cars - Gooby i'll deffo shout when I start work. It's in storage at the mo while I sort out the garage at home then when it's here I'll drop you a line & come take a looksee.

Take it easy fellas
