Hi Guys,

New to Lotus just need some advise please.

Could any one let me know the approx value of a Lotus Elise SC Jim Clark Type 75

This car is very clean, almost like new with 3000 miles on the clock.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think of selling my Noble M12 GTO 3, to get the above.

I understood only 25 where made for the UK market and 25 for the rest of the world and most of those went to Japan.

I've been given first refusal on this car at £27K; it’s a big decision to change from a "Noble M12 GTO 3" to a "Lotus Elise SC Type 25 Jim Clark"

The Noble is not depreciating and neither will the Lotus I guess.

If I knew how to post a picture I would.

It's ture the Noble does use more fuel than the Lotus, but the Lotus costs more to insure and the road tax is higher.

I only use this car for leasure on nice sunny days, so the increased Tax and Insurance cancel the lower fuel consumption out.

Mine is #007. Hoping values will start appreciating sometime soon as there are only 25 in the UK!

Been to see the car today the issue number is 15.

This car is like new with only 3085 miles on the clock.

I'm not too worried about the car appreciating; it just looks and drives beautifully.

OK not as quick as the Noble M12 but the Elise SC is still a very quick car.

Bought the car and decided to keep the Noble as well.

Good Luck with the Lotus! Looks nice, I sold a Noble 3R and went back to an Exige S, love it!!!
Thanks Phil,

I'm looking forward to getting the Lotus, it will take 2 -3 weeks before I can pick it up, I have to wait for the cherished number transfer and the road tax so probably be beginning of March.

I’m very happy with the Noble, it’s a rocket ship, so I decided to keep it for now and keep my eyes open for a nice Noble M400 or a Lotus Exige Cup 260.

I've had 5 cars since March last year and probably lost a £500-£1000 on each car, but I always have a big smile on my face when driving them.

Excellent choice matey - enjoy it.

I've owned an Elise SC (in gorgeous Canyon Red) for just over two years and I reckon it is THE best Elise ever (and I've also owned an Elise R and Exige S :-)) ).

I owned an Elise 111R liked it a lot, bought a Noble M12 GTO 3 and I love it.

Sold the Elise 111R and bought the Elise SC, only had a test drive. Waiting for March to arrive before I put it on the road.

I think it takes a while and several drives to get used to a different car.

Well if the Type 25 was £37k new and now they sell for £27K after 2 years I would say they are going down.
