Hi all I sent a few pics on coco79s rebuild thread a few months ago all is going well so far my head was beyond repair as the valve guides were oversize and they had been machined to the limit and were loose frown
I have now brought a complete power head with the latest valve gear and race spec cams biggrin.
I am using petrol head Petes repair Instructions as a guide I wanted to inspect the oil pump and scavenge pump for damage as the valve guides springs were circulating in the oil the problem I have is I am trying to get the gears of the pumps are the nuts left hand thread ??? They were tight and I couldn't see enough thread to establish which way the treads are going any ideas it was bloody cold last night in the garage lol.

Crankshafts out I'm glad I checked the main and big end bearings as they seem to have picked up debris from the valve stem seals not to bad considering ,could have rolled with it at this stage I'm changing all bearings considering piston rings may as well be changed at this stage.
I will put some pics up soon the crankshaft is at power at the moment getting balanced and checked may need a regrind,
Looks like it won't be ready for lemans will burn some midnight oil and see.

Morning people ,all is well with the rebuild feels good running it in at the moment now weathers gone naff now .
My temperature digital readout is fluctuating bouncing up and down 20 degrees from normal occasionally the oil temp follows the same way.
I repaired the heater ecu pin before this not sure if it's related
