Is the Speed six engine ever quiet?

By quiet I mean free from top end noise, mine I suspect, suffers from valve guide wear, it gets louder as the temps go up.
But it makes on the nose power at 349.8 for a 3.6 (Kitsandclassics dyno), uses very little oil ,so for now it just gets driven.

I appreciate there is always going to be some chains noises etc, but does refurbing the head equal a less rattly engine?

Thoughts?

I have just had a look at the FFF price, if you build that in as part of a DIY engine rebuild it isnt that bad.
yes, you would be up over the cost of a std rebuild at one of the indies, but most of the cost of a rebuild must be labour and the cylinder head anyway.

I very much doubt that any of the std rebuilds come in at the advertised cost... a major chunk of the time is taking the engine out and putting it back, which is pretty tedious.
Precisely, sorry but I would never pay someone else to take my TVR engine out....
