Noticed that when the car is hot the idle seems to settle at around 1500rpm. From normal start up sits around 900—1000 and slightly higher when cold.
I would have thought idle should be lower when hot? Any ideas?
Inlet temperature is normal when this happens to me. Just seems to be when engine is hot, had same problem when sat in traffic on blackwall tunnel approach yesterday again. Oil temp in 70s and water in high 80s.
