After 4 x Tom Toms and 1 x Snooper I have decided to give the Garmin a go. Mainly because of not having to Bluetooth into my smartphone. Garmin apparently have a shiney new satellite that means super quick updates.

Garmin NUVI 2569 LMT-D (latest touch screen, digital traffic and lifetime updates)

High Speed Multi Changer

Sendai 5" sat nav Accessory Pack inc home charger and case

£149.99

BOOOOM!

Budget case and charger probably about £7.00 off ebay.

The case should have been £25 and the high speed charger £15 so I still saved £30, ok not a massive saving but I'm happy

The reason I didn't go for a tomtom was because I didn't want to have to Bluetooth it to my phone ( I haven't got unlimited data!) Apparently Garmin have just stuck a brand new satellite into space which is why their digital traffic works so well. The digital traffic system uses the power lead as an antenna so if you want traffic you need to be plugged in! The screen is like an IPhone, very nice to use. The mrs will try it out tomorrow when she drive from Surrey to Walsall. smile
