Pioneer wiring polarity

Morning all,

I'm after a bit of clarification please.

The speaker output from my Pioneer head unit for the Front Left speaker is White +ve and White/Black -ve. However, the outputs from the crossover unit that I want to connect to is the other way round, i.e. White -ve and White/Black +ve.

Is the clue in the title of the device i.e 'Cross Over' or am I missing something???

However, the OUTPUT from the (new) crossover unit that I want to connect to is the other way round, i.e. White -ve and White/Black +ve. Therefore, I'm left wondering how to connect the INPUT to the cross over. White to White or White to White/Black

Don't you think it odd though that products from the same 'make' use a different colour code for +ve and -ve?
