Kenwood Mech less stereo
Discussion
I've one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-KMM-257-Mechless-... Installed in a 94 MB SL convertible. Sound quality in the car is pretty dire TBH, I know at some point the car has had new speakers.
Is it worth while spending (not too much I hope) on a new head unit/speakers or should I just accept the car is never going to be the right environment to enjoy music?

I think I've got the thing sounding better.
I tend to leave audio controls alone, in the belief that the manufacturer gets it right.
The car has no rear speakers so faded everything forward and played with the bass/loudness/treble/midrange and bass boost (whatever that is) It's now acceptable. They always sound better engine off sat on the drive however.
I'm sure I did all this when I 1st put the unit in a couple of yrs ago, maybe it reverted to basic settings when I had the battery off.
