In the 90s everyone seemed to have a great big steering wheel lock, but rarely see them these days thanks to immobilizers. But modern keyless entry etc can be intercepted. Does anyone here bother with GPS trackers, or an engine killswitch/secret switch which disables the fuel pump and the like.
I've always been skeptical of GPS trackers, I've read a lot of stories about people telling the police exactly where their stolen vehicle is and they're so slow to respond and do something about it that the car is off to eastern europe in bits before they lift a finger.
I use a disc lock on my motorbike but it's more of a visual deterrent than anything beefy enough to stop even an amateur thief

I have an additional immobiliser and a steering wheel lock.

People always say how easy it is to get the steering wheel locks off, well it’s harder than it not being there and not every thief is expert in removing them.

Some say “They will just use and angle grinder”, am thinking as it’s under my bedroom window I may notice someone operating power tools in the dead of night.
Would you confront a thief wielding an angle grinder though? By the time police show up they'd have cut through it and driven away
