D'you know, what I haven't seen?
Any talk whatsoever on Advanced Driving!
This is how it is...You, or rather me, mentions anything from the AD book, Roadcraft, or any of the publications on AD, you get slated to death, by the people who are supposedly 'advanced'...mention bgol, you are 'a fundamentalist' mention is made of 'tablets of stone' and other bull sh it as if you were some kind of nutter.
Mention 'pull-push' you are some kind of nutter, god help you if you want to talk about 'roadcraft' or 'the system' you are regarded as some kind of inmate of a pshychiatric institution...
I've been trying it for years, you do AD, gawd knows I've done the tests, at my own expense, and all you want to do is talk about the techniques...MY technique is fackin' textbook, I'm very happy with it, but hell, talk about it you're fack'd...
It isn't the first time, I've tried on EVERY AD forum on the net, and you get this bull sh it...Always from the same few.
Now seriously I'm through, I've said what is wrong with IAM/RoSPA, yes you guessed it...all bs...
I've said about the good stuff, PP, BGol, yeah all bs...
Now I'm fackin' thru with the whole gammut...
People, it is real, it all goes on, PP, separation, passing AD tests, it all goes on in the real world, but fack me, not on these forums, not singling PH out, this is the crack on ALL AD forums. I'm fackin' sick of it, I have never heard such a bunch of boring, un-interesting sh it in my life, no wonder people don't come to AD.
For those not in the know, advanced driving as per IAM/RoSPA is the fackin' sh it, all that Pull-Push steering and separation of the brake/gearchange is well wicked, you should try it, it takes driving to another level, but these people who post on AD, well they're just full of sh it, they try to make out they're cool by 'not conforming to the system'...let me tell you, they do!
They all passed their test by 'conforming'...trust me on this, then they try to make out it's all fundamentalist sh it, this is to look 'cool' a fail on every level, I won't be posting no more, it's just all bs, anyone in any doubt just read thru my posts and you'll see, everything I ever posted was textbook AD, but argued the toss about on every level.
Take the example of the woman who posted, been done for speeding, instead of advising a course in AD, where you learn to control the car at speed limits, a respected member of AD suggested going on a course where speed is the main aim...big loss of respect from me! And I respected this person (big mistake I find)...
These people talk about 'thinking for yourself' coming up with your own ideas, then I post a thread inviting this...Mind you, it had to be thoughts of your own, not from some driving manual or other, and what? Yep, zilch, MartinA did same thing, surprise suprise, nothing...
Now I see talk of going round roundabouts twice to what? 'Save time'? AD is about setting off in time for your journey, not doing bs manouvres to 'save time' Whatyagoindo? Bottle it?
So I wanted to make amends, being as I've called all these people out before on other forums, so I'm all nicey-nicey, NO, that's all bs, these people don't want to discuss AD, they want to discuss something on their own lines which, frankly isn't what AD is...
SO, basically, I'm through, I have no interest, but I'll damn well post this thread up, just to let them know I think they're all full of bs...
