Hi everyone.

Long time PH member, but not lurked in here before.

I'm interested in doing advanced driver training, because whilst I'm not bad, I'm probably not as good as I'd like to think. I'm pretty progressive in my thinking (i.e. happy to admit when I'm wrong, willing to put the ego away and happy to respect instructors) and I'm after working with an organisation/group who will take my current abilities/attitudes and make me better.

Over the last 3 or so years I've learned to ride a motorcycle (and ridden in mainland Europe), passed Bikesafe, become a qualified pilot and obtained my IMC rating, and I've had my car license since about 2001. So, I know my brain and body are capable of learning these sorts of advanced techniques.

My reluctance to do this before now is because I have briefly been a member of an organisation, and to be honest, they appeared really, really pious, and that totally put me off. I'm also a little allergic to club social hierarchies and alpha conflicts (on my bike MOD1 I had one instructor tell me to use the rear brake to stabilise the U-turn, and the very next day another told me I mustn't and that I was lying/wrong to tell him that I had been told otherwise by his colleague - seriously?!). I'll deal with it if I have to, but to be honest that sort of nonsense normally detracts from the effectiveness of the training - i.e. its a waste.

I'm after straightforward no BS advanced driver training without the alpha-male-ism.

So, who should I approach?

Thank you.
