Just [most likely] written off an old and trusty Fiesta at the weekend and was hoping to hear some views as to the incident (apologies if not the correct forum).

Here is the scene:

I am arriving at the traffic lights in the far left lane looking to turn left onto Childs Way. My lane is clear and traffic light has turned green so I do not come to a stationary stop, I keep going whilst there is stationary traffic in the lane to the right of me. As I pass the traffic light, a car from said lane turns left into my lane and our front wheels collide. My driver-side front wheel crumbles, probably axle/suspension damage as well as bodywork dents on the wheel arch. Other car has minor bodywork damage just before the passenger-side front wheel. I don't recall the car indicating but can't be sure, regardless, which party is to blame here? I can't help but think that I am not to blame here (obviously wink).

The insurance company will be getting back to me in the coming days but I assume it will be a case of split liability from their point of view given no witness statements or anything, right?

Cheers.
