Volvo V70 fuelling issues
Discussion
Had to have my trusty steed recovered on a truck day before yesterday Just wondering if there are any known issues with V70 fuel pumps or if it's more likely to be crud in the tank / pump? are the pumps user serviceable?
I'd left it in a car park overnight, the car was on a slope that basically put all the fuel in the tank in the corner that the pump/sender sits in. The following day... would crank fine but absolutely no sign of firing. Mechanic came out, squirted easy start in the air box, it fired instantly, then died. Clearly not getting fuel. Recovered back to my house on truck, offloaded, for a laugh turned the key aaaannnd.... it started immediately. Used it for a quick run yesterday, got it home, now it won't start again.

First, get it plugged into the proper Volvo diagnostics and see what it throws-up.
It could be the fuel filter, sender or main pump.
Depending on the year and engine model, it could be a number of things to be honest.
okay ta, just for ref it's a 2001 2.4. It's now starting, but will only rev smoothly if you accelerate very very very slowly - put your foot down, it falters. Will try and find a mobile Volvo bloke with diagnosticsIt could be the fuel filter, sender or main pump.
