Hi
I've just bought a 2005 V50 privately and its an awesome car just a few niggles I need to sort.
•Around 3000 rpm there is an intermittent misfire that's really bad and no boost. Seems to have cleared with use but it's booked into a garage for diagnostics. Is this a known issue?
•Suspension can be very crashy and under acceleration over rouugh surfaces it's really not great. Would loosing the low profile tyres resolve this?

Thanks, it's at a ford specialist so hopefully they'll get to the bottom of the misfire. I'll get the suspension checked out as well but it's odd because it's just passed an mot. I suppose that might not necessarily show up in the test.

Thanks Don, I'll see what they come up with but if I have no luck I agree a volvo specialist would be preferable. Interesting to know suspension is the same I guess this means parts are interchangeable between ford/volvo?

Turns out the spark plugs hadn't been changed so possibly the cause of the missfire. Suspension is all in order so I'm guessing it's probably down to the the tyre profile. Great car though can't fault it otherwise.
