Good morning all,

I am considering selling my D5 to a T6 due to a massive reduction in the miles I must do, the car will be used for shorter in town journeys to work when the weather is bad and longer journeys on weekends and Holidays.

My questions are

Will the short journeys be bad for the T6 as it is for the D5? I have had the Soot Filter Full warning already on the D5.
Is the fuel economy that bad? I hope to get 30MPG on a run.
Would an ex police car be a good choice?
Is the 3.2 a good alternative?
Any other Estate cars to recommend?
Any other advice?

The car will be mainly used in Germany so I need a good autobahn cruiser.

Thanks in advance.

They are very rare, and the ones I have seen tend to be ex-Police.

30mpg seems optimistic, and if town driving id suggest 15-20mpg will be closer to reality.

This one appears to be NON police, so rare indeed!

Thanks for the reply guys,

The main thing is reliability, and service costs. How does it faire on these?
Also how does it drive? I am coming from a 185 D5 which is not really that fast to compared to my Mazda 3 MPS.

What is you general opinion of the car? Happy?

What mileage is your car and what milage are these cars good for? I've seen 150k miles on ex-Police vehicles.
