Has anyone else had problems with the new XC90? The main issue is it keeps putting up warning's on the dash, been to the dealers 4 times and not getting any better, then today the drivers display went blank and car went into limp home mode, wife drove home at a maximum of 15 mph.
Got the car at the end of September since then as well as warning codes it's had the rear breaks replaced, they were squealing, the rear door handles were sticking then the endless warnings. It went to dealership last week as they said it needed a soft wear update drove 1 mile out of dealership and more warnings pop up.
I'm ashamed to say I lost the plot a bit at the dealership today, my wife was driving when it went into limp mode and it slowed down to a crawl, she wasn't far from home, but we got quite a fright if it happened on a busy motorway with the kids in the car. We called Volvo assist and they sent a recovery truck but the guy seemed to know how to fix the problem and disconnected the negative battery terminal for a a few min's and all was sorted when he reconnected. He checked the ecu before this but it was showing no faults.
I dropped the car off at the dealership tonight and they were good enough to give me one of Volvo's own XC90's while they are trying to fix mine. I've now asked for an extended warranty, I have 3 years at the moment, they didn't seem to think that was a good idea but I'm not giving up
I don't have the time or energy to run to the dealers every 6 weeks for software.
So really just a rant and does anyone else have problems?
Thanks.

The cars been away since Tuesday, they called to say it is ready to collect so will find out what was up tomorrow. Hopefully they have got to the bottom of the problems, my wife loves the car but its frustrating when you spend so much on a new car and you keep needing to return it to the dealership.
Searching the web there seems to be a few electrical gremlins bothering them, makes you wonder how much testing they actually do before launching them on us?
