got a new Volvo XC60 three weeks ago. There are two cubby storage boxes between the front seats, a lift-up armrest/lid, and a rollback lid over the cupholders.
this roller top one is perfect for my sunglasses in a soft case (and with volvo charging £58 for a proper sunglasses holder YOU'D look for an alternative.
anyway - glasses fit snugly in there. All hunky dory. Until Friday...
had to collect a wedding cake for my sister-in-law's wedding. Cake maker lady wanted cash. En route to collect cake before driving to wedding, called into tesco and withdrew £180. Put same on top of sunglasses to keep safe and out of sight. Closed lid.
Then opened lid again to get sunglasses.
Lid rolls back, taking the notes with it and disappearing into the space between the two cubbies, from where you can't get at it. Rolled lid forwards, expecting to see money, and it rolled smoothly, expensively, into place, leaving the cash wherever it dumped it. Vanished. Buried.
so - does anybody know how to get this damn thing apart? If I take it to a dealer it'll probably cost more in labour charge than I've lost....thinking to throw myself on the mercy of the dealer (yeah, I know!) I called the salesman and asked if he knew, but he was laughing so much I think he had to go to A&E.
Googled it, but no luck, so maybe a PH-er knows?
Please??
When you've stopped laughing?

to all responders (respondents?) - thanks!
cheered me up no end......
and the dealers have offered to have a look if I drop round sometime.
Probably going to get the staff to pop out and "see what a real idiot looks like".
sort of a staff training exercise.....
