Hi all,

i'm in the process of moving at the moment and found my old lunchbox at the back of a cupboard. She's taken a bit of a battering but is still holding up pretty well

So folks, let's have a gander at your R/C shells

a couple of shells on my Mi2. This off road lark looks like quite good fun - i'd quite like to have a go, although i'm not sure about the whole cleaning up afterwards!

does the midnight pumpkin and the lunchbox have the same chassis with just different body mounts?

If so i'm thinking that perhaps i should get a midnight pumpkin body and mounts to go onto my lunchbox

seeing as this is turning into the lunchbox appreciation society i've dug out my old lunchbox. It was put away over 5 years ago with a problem with the gearbox nd no drive.

so i removed the gearbox - and it turns out it was just a loose motor mount. i had to take most of the chassis to bits to tighten two screws! oh, and a rear axel spring is broken. ffs

still, at least i had help

gearbox fixed, but bad news, my batteries are well and truly dead. frown

my charger running from an old computer power supply - dont tell the health and safety police (or the wife)

new battery, springs and a bearing set ordered. am getting excited.

thinking about getting a superclodbuster. my cousin had one decades ago. it was a fantastic hoot.

loving the retrotastic tamiya rereleases

Please open the psu and put a couple of posts or banana females on the casing. That is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Loving my retro Tamiyas. Clodbuster and Brat both back up and running smile
It's a work in progress. The psu is meant to be going into a custom built hdd enclosure to house 9 hdd for backup. I've just tested that it works with the charger.

Ill get a cheap as chips one to mutilate for charging. Or I'll get a quiet one for the enclosure and mutilate this one for charging

i've jsut got my lunchbox up and running with full ball bearings and standard tamiya motor and ESC.

i'd forgotten how rubbish the handling is. total understeer (when the front wheels are actually in contact with the ground!). rubbish turning circle.

but massive fun!!
