I thought I would share an interesting part of my model collection. I have made it my mission to get a 1:43 model of each car that I have owned in real life, ideally as close in spec to the real one as possible.

so far been pretty successful and in some cases I have found an exact match, the only one I haven't found yet is my current BMW E90, but i'm still searching.

In order of ownership

Does anyone else share this obsession? lets see your pics of little versions of your big ones!

Still like to know how to do 1/43 scale numberplates?
I think it is a great little touch.
https://www.minichamps.de/index.php?s=1&a=1&am...

This is how I do mine, through Minichamps, you buy a licence plate pack, which gives you 10 codes. You enter the code on the minichamps website and you can create a set of number plates perfectly to scale (you choose the scale 1:43 or 1:18), these are then generated as a pdf which you can print off, cut out and stick to the car.

I found that if you print them on photographic paper they look very realistic as they have bit of stiffness to them, and you can save the pdfs so you can print as many sets of the same reg no. as you want in case you cock it up!

I found the code packs online through a UK supplier, but I can't remember where now, it was £4.99 for 10 codes so only 50p per set of plates.

Also I have now completed my collection with the below addition, not a great model but it is the closest I have found to the right colour!
