Group buy: Technic 42030 - register interest

As per last year's Technic Lego group buy, we are looking to do a similar thing again with the forthcoming Volvo L350F.



What's the deal?
At the moment, just add your name to the list if you're interested. No commitment is required, but we would ask that if you really have no intention of parting with money, please don't put your name down.

This is a deal for PHers only - anyone who has been a member of the forums for 6 months or more can join this group buy.

How much?
Well the RRP is expected to be £169.99 - not cheap. We hope to offer similar levels of discount to last year, but we don't know discount can be done until Lego reveal more details later in the year.

When will it be?
The set comes out in August, so that's when you'll get it. We'd be asking you to pay around July time (I think!)

er... what next?
Well, we'll keep you posted. We're just trying to work out how many we might need. Last year's crane shifted over 100 units to PHers!

We really don't have any more details, but as soon as we do, we'll let you know.

We don't know the cost from Lego yet, so we can't give an idea of the discount.

Clearly the set will have a licence to pay to Volvo, but I think it's fair to say everyone was happy with the deal they got.

OK guys, Russy has been hard at work and has come up with some numbers.

The RRP of the Volvo kit is £169.99, but the PH delivered price (UK) will be £145.00

• Where you are based (UK or elsewhere)

I just joined up, but aware I am not eligible for the deal - I actually stubbled across PH (this time) while looking for a deal on the crane! I've joined up primarily to go after Technic 2015 deals :P though to be fair I end up lurking on PH for various different reasons in the past anyway!

Sadly, Lego have put their prices up - that's the first thing. In addition to this there is actually a licencing agreement (as there was with the Unimog) and this will affect the price.

I seem to recall the RRP of the Unimog was around £150, and when the Crane came out it was about the same.

It's not cheap, but for a launch day deal that's delivered to the door it's pretty good.

Stick around PH - you might like it.
