Have been looking at r/c cars for a bit of fun - mainly for use in my (fairly large) garden and/or on the local park

Really like the look of the Tamiya Unimog (self build) but note it comes in several options, including:

CW-01 wheelie ( I believe this is same as lunchbox/pumpkin ?)
CC-01 4wd

Both are similarly priced so which to go for? Which will be faster/more fun?

Any advice/guidance much appreciated as I am a 'noob' as far as this is concerned...

Wheelies are fun at first but get boring when it won't stay down!

Off road is fun but quite slow.

Think about what you want to do then choose - fun and fast in the park or crawling over the rockery and anything else in front of it?
Is the cc-01 quite slow then? I thought the cr-01 ( rock crawler model) was the slow one?

Would the cc-01 be much slower than the cw-01?

ok, that seems like one vote for each - I read that they have the same motor so why would one be much faster than the other? is because of the 4wd?

sorry for the stupid questions, just don't want to get one and wish I'd bought the other...

great, thanks - I want to build it myself so that counts HPI out i believe?

I think I might get bored of the CW easily, CR is too expensive for a first time buyer, so looks like I'll go for the CC kit...

thanks for the advice thumbup
