Scalextric Help

I've got a bit of a problem here. I picked up an old Scalextric car (Porsche 935 Turbo from 1977) at a charity shop the other day for 50p, which was bloody good. Unfortunately, though, it doesn't work. It's completely unresponsive - no noise or anything - so I suppose it must be either a connection problem or motor problem. The motor is a Johnson 111 or 222.

Any ideas/advice? Thanks.
