Schumacher Club 10

After abit of advice on my old rc car!
Recently I came across my old club 10 (based on the couger I think) in the garage and have decided to bring it up to date.
The car is from the mid 90's, as is my knowledge on the subject! What can I do to bring it back in touch with modern rc buggies?

No belt, just a simple 2wd geared drive.


So what would be a good combination?

As for upgrades, this is where I'm out of touch! Could somebody suggest a suitable motor, esc and battery?

Will only be a bit of fun round a car park etc, not interested in racing it. I have a huge pile of spares so thats not a problem. All the 7.2v nicads I have a shot, so new batteries are in order. So do I just get a couple of standard nicads or bring it up to 2015 with brushless motors etc.
