Getting back into RC cars
Discussion
I had a sort through the garage at the weekend and rediscovered some old radio control cars I had from when I was 14, particularly my old Associated RC10 I use to race (along with another one, and two Schumacher Cougars).
This one is fitted with a Tekin Gold speed controller and super fast Futaba servo which I remember to be top notch back then.
I am guessing with 20 years passing the 1700 mA batteries I had from back then have moved on - so I fancy getting some new batteries for the cars so that the kids can start to play with them... is it worth it? And what should I get battery wise?
Anything else to look for that has changed in 20 years?

Thanks for the links, and came across this link for classic RC racing - http://revival.a1racingclub.com/classic-racing.htm...
Looks like an interesting weekend for any that raced back in the late 80s/ early 90s. There is a team endurance I notice - PH Team???
Will have to check out my charger for compatability with those batteries but I like the idea of racing around for longer than 5 mins.
