I've put this on here instead of oople as it's not really their sort of thing, we are off skiing in Feb and I fancy taking a RC car with me for arsing around in the snow, I've considered allsorts including Kyosho Blizzard snow cats but ultimately want something I can enjoy when I get back too, I don't want a monster truck or SCT and I've got buggies coming out of my ears.

I reckon a rally car would be ideal, I assume they are all pretty much 1:10 scale which would be ideal, size isn't a problem as we are driving down in a big car. I do have a vintage tamiya celica gr.b but it's too good to be a basher.

I would prefer a kit instead of a rtr, budget of circa £100, I won't need any electrics as I have them all.

Any ideas?

You utter bugger, it's way over budget but I'm rapidly convincing myself I need it now!

How does it realistically compare to the earlier Tamiya rally chassis tt-01 etc?

Do you have any experience of these carisma models? They look cosmetically very nice but I'm generally very unimpressed with the build quality of "cheap" models.

I did consider slapping some sand scoops on a buggy and having fun on deep powder, but I'm after a rally car anyway and reckon it will be fine out on the piste outside the apartment on a night when it's empty.

I'm now hunting an xv-01.
