Hi there, I am looking at buying a 2003 Clio V6 (LHD as I live overseas).

Due to the climate over here, the dashboard has gone sticky/ tacky in the extreme heat. Clio V6’s are rarer than hen’s teeth, so I wondered if other Clio’s could be used for a straight dashboard swap? There are plenty of standard Clio's in the scrap yard including 192’s etc. Does it matter what age etc? The French cars from memory use fairly generic fixings/sizes.

Is it a large complicated job, or fairly straight forward if at all possible?

Same goes for the seats too, as they are a little shabby.

Any knowledge/ pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Craig,

Were there not two versions of this, one with the round headlights and one with angular ones?

Do you know what year would be best, I don't like the dated one, so ideally the newer one would be better if it works? There are more of the newer ones to choose from in the scrap yard too. Is it a fairly simple job? Most French cars have the simple clip on method, don't know if this is the same for the dash?

Any ideas about the seats? Can these be direct replacements too?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks Johnny,

This isn't the question though.

The question is, I am looking at buying a Phase 1 V6. The dashboard is knackered due to the heat over here, so I would like to replace it with a new one (2nd hand). It was suggested that I could use a Clio 172's dash. were there not two versions of this though, which one (maybe both) would be a simple fit for the Phase 1 V6?
