my key got stuck in the ignition in my frustration i ended disconnecting the wires and snapping the key i then started drilling the hole where the key goes cause i realized that i needed it in the 1 position. i then tried to drill the locking device that was preventing the barrel to come out.


Please help

You will need a professionals "gut buster" electric drill and a very big drill bit.Just drill away and destroy the lock until the spring loaded locking pin moves.Naturally avoid damaging the housing.
I cant tell from your image but if your AX has a transponder around the collum housing there will be a chip in the old key that has to be fitted to the new one that comes with the new steering lock.
i managed to sort it i used the drill to go through the locking device which go through to the metal surrounding the barrel its self then used a hammer and punch to move it forward and out
