Renault Megane 265 with Cup Chassis brake issues
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Recently purchased a Renault Megane 265 with Cup Chassis and from day one I have not felt comfortable with the brakes. When braking from say 70/80 you get a slight juddering sensation coming through the pedal, I have also felt that the actual stopping power is not fantastic.
However Renault are looking at it but are currently saying that nobody can feel anything wrong, its been to Renault Slough and it is now back at Renault West London where I bought from. So other than the possibility that I am whining about a non-existent problem, can anybody tell me whether the brakes on a 2014 Renault 265 with Cup Chassis should have grooved discs or not as the literature seems to suggest that grooved discs are part of the pack however my car does not have grooved discs??
Thanks for any input, when I spoke to Renault they simply said that the discs on the car were the standard discs for it.
Andy

Thanks.
My issue at the minute is Renault I saying there's nothing wrong, and as the car has the Cup Chassis if I knew that it would have come from the factory with grooved discs it would further backup my claim, however how they can't feel it I have no idea, maybe my feet are more sensitive than most

The cars done 10,000 miles, it was an ex-management car so I daresay it's had its fair share of abuse, Renault West London have had it back and are basically saying there's not a problem
I have to say I can feel the faint grumble through the pedal still so I'm 100% sure the brakes are not completely right, and yes if I knew for SURE the car would have been supplied with grooved discs then I would push the issue but as nobody seems to know for sure I guess I'll just have to suck it up!
