This has probably been asked a million times (so I apologise in advance) but this is my first car and I'm the stereotypical dumb blonde who really doesn't have a clue!

I've had the car for about months, the previous owner supposedly had the clutch done as she was having problems with, and it's also been raised. Ever since I've owned it though, I've noticed the clutch fights back at me sometimes, pulling away in first slowly is near impossible as the engine stalls so I have to have to have the revs at about 2000 + to keep it from cutting out. There's no way you can move on just the clutch, and it won't go into reverse (strangely, of i rev the engine first, the gear goes in, but if I just put the clutch down and then into reverse it won't budge?!). I noticed the other day the gearbox wobbled a bit when I went into second and made a really weird noise (yes I had the clutch fully down) so I had to re-do it. My dad drove it, alothough he's pretty clued up on bikes but not on cars and said it feels like a hydrolic clutch, and that could be the problem - but he's not certain. Although the fact sometimes when you lift the clutch it's jerking and the clutch is pushing back on you makes me wonder if he's right.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the help guys!

The lady before had the clutch pedal raised, as apparently her feet were too wide and she was catching the break? It's a nightmare to drive because of this and since I've posted this the clutch has now got quite stiff, it's like driving an old van! Pushing it down feels like you're trying to pump air into a tyre, and when you release it it's coming up in bites.

I'm sending in it for a service next week so will let you know the outcome ££££ frown
