I asked on our forum about the rarity, as they almost never seem to come up for sale, and it's believed that there are only 62 of them registered in the UK !

I did think about one and they're certainly cheap enough but they were rather slow in comparison to the V6 diesel and used a ridiculous amount of fuel.Overhangs are rediculous though!

Yeah, I think if you forget notions of performance and focus on a cruiser that makes a nice noise then they begin to make sense. Plus, I saw a nice looking petrol v6 for sub £1795 with only 60k miles! Looked clean, Mot history seems to point to tyres and brakes not being looked after but no major mechanical issues and barely used over the past few years. Diesels are about £1k more, which is quite a lot of fuel paid for! The V6 diesels are now starting to appear from about £1,200 or less upward. Problem is that the post April 2006 cars fall into the £500+ VED which is pretty much going to wipe out any savings you make. That seems to be creating a disparity between the 2.0 hdi and the V6 diesel with the four cylinder cars being two to three times the price.

For more serious modders (those who feel comfortable fitting bigger injectors / bigger turbo), there are maps that will take it up to 210 HP and beyond, with only your wallet as the limiting factor.

That's why we don't see them about - you've got them all I thought the Aisin auto box of the 407 coupe was only rated at around 331 lb/ft?
Did you uprate yours mechanically or map it very cleverly?
