Bentley Turbo R 1996

Newbie here,have just purchased a Bentley Turbo R with 56000 kms on it.I get a intermittent check gearbox light coming on.It clears sometimes and gearbox works normally,however after a day or so it comes back.Engine runs normally and no other indications.Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated.Brgds

Dear All,ok some more updates on the chk gearbox lt warning.With the battery terminal problem I found when I resecured the battery terminal the light had gone out,however when driving and getting to around 80KMH bingo the lt reappeared.However this morning for whatever strange reason I floored the go pedal and at around 4500 rpm and 50-60 kmh the check gearbox lt went out and stayed out.However have not driven far since this happened but am coming more to the conclusion that its either a faulty electronics or a sensor......Any ideas pls gratefully received.Cheers

Ok,went on motorway this afternoon and around 80Kmh damn light is back on.Started her up this evening to return home and lo nd behold light out.Drove below 80 kmh but after a period the gearbox warning lt back on.So any ideas Gents?????????
