I am considering buying a Turbo R or a Bentley Eight a, mid 90’s model but have really only just started to look. What I am trying to get a idea of is just how much are they too run. People say they are very expensive, I am used to Porsche prices and I know on a day to day basis my fuel bill will go up, but are servicing costs that much more?

Also when looking at prospective cars, is there anything special I should be looking for.

Any help and idea will be appreciated.

Somewhere to store your pipe and slippers (sorry Peter, just couldnt help it)

Bit if a change from the 968 (just been looking at your add, wish I had the cash)
Lol Fair enough, I have always fancied a Bentley and now seems to be as good time as any. I do need
to move the 968 on, I will keep my S2 for competition and track days. Go on make me an offer on the 968, you know you want too.....

BG, thanks for yor help, the figures you have quoted have not sent me running scared. Just
as an approximation, what sort of MPG can I expect, do I need to buy a small tanker to follow
me around?

Thanks

Thank you for your help, Mr BG roughly how many miles a year do you do, if you do 2K a year then
your costs will put me off, If your doing 10k/year then I can live with them.

BB, thank you for that, I think I maybe in for a long wait before a Bentley sits on my drive. The 968 has to go first and given the current market conditions I think that may be a while. I have not been put off Bentleys by any of the reports I have read and the kind information provided on here so once the 68 has left the search will begin.

BB I have a 944S2 that I am keeping, so I can't justify the 968 as well...
